Description: This webinar will teach you the basics of writing an informed consent; the focus is on making good language choices for an informed consent, structuring information so that it is accessible to potential study subjects, and evaluating the language in an informed consent for readability.

Instructor Biography

Pam Hurley, PhD, founder and president of Hurley Write, Inc., has taught scientific and technical writing in both academic and industrial settings since 1988, including at Duke University, The George Washington University, GlaxoSmithKline, Pulmatrix, Genstruct, Bristol Myers-Squibbm and The National Institutes of Health.  She has developed a series of online technical, business, and scientific writing courses, which are used by various companies to train their staff.

She also writes and edits reports, technical documents, and scientific manuscripts and articles for a number and variety of private companies and individuals. A published author, Pam’s articles have appeared in The Monitor, Biotechnology Focus, The Federal Manager, and Training Magazine.
